Voices of Iran

Project Overview

Voices of Iran is a collaborative virtual zine project pairing Iranian artists with non-Iranian volunteer artists to create a PDF digital magazine. Iranian artists provide written works like poems or stories while volunteer artists create minimalist visual art inspired by those words.

Key Dates and Deadlines

The project officially starts on March 1st. Once paired, Iranian artists have a three-week window to complete their contributions while volunteer artists are allocated four weeks for their visual responses.

Support Structure

This is a one-time mint on the Teia platform utilizing a collaborative beneficiary contract. All funds raised through the mint and additional donations to the contract address are distributed evenly and exclusively to the participating artists in Iran.

Participation Rules

Visual contributions must follow a minimalist “less is more” style. The writing must serve as the primary inspiration for the art. While the standard format is a pairing, Iranian artists have the option to provide both the writing and the visual art themselves if they choose.
